The Instructor will provide quality ski/snowboard instruction to groups and individuals in a safe and fun manner.

Responsibilities

  • Upholding the highest levels of guest safety on varied terrain with varying winter weather conditions.
  • Clearly and accurately instructing assigned levels of skiing or snowboarding to students, both physically and verbally.
  • Ensuring that students are matched to appropriate skier/snowboarding skill level and working with supervisors/managers to make appropriate changes when necessary.
  • Assisting guests with transportation of equipment and how to load and unload the chairlift.
  • Supervising children in class at all times; assisting at lunch and snack times; ensuring return of children to identified guardian. (Childrens' Instructors Only)
  • Assisting in operational responsibilities of Snow School's programs including but not limited to registration process, directing guests to appropriate equipment fitting source, upkeep of outdoor teaching areas, and cleanliness of facilities. (Childrens' Instructors Only)
  • Acts as ambassador for the station and promotes the activities of the station.
  • Attends weekly information meetings.
  • Performs any other related task.

Qualifications

  • Ski: Canadian Ski Instructors' Alliance (CSIA) or PESQ Level 1 valid certification (or in the process of obtaining it);
  • Snowboard: Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI) or PESQ Level 1 valid certification (or in the process of obtaining it).

Experience

  • Less than 1 year is required.

Other

  • Must be fluent in all aspects of the English and French language (spoken and written).

In order to better plan our operations for the coming season and determine the number of instructors available to work in a given day, it is important for us to get as much info as possible on your application for the winter season to come.

Please take time to fill out the form properly. This will determine your employee status as well (full time, part-time or casual).

Being available on a certain day means that YOU ARE AVAILABLE TO TEACH FROM THE OPENING OF THE STATION UNTIL 4:30 PM.

Applicants who are available every consecutive Saturday and Sunday will be given priority.

Tick one of the following options that matches your application on the calendar. If those options don't work for you, please tick specific days directly on the calendar and the Management Team will examine your request and determine if it meets the needs of the Snow School. 

Full-Time Seasonal

Part-Time Seasonal

To obtain a “part-time” status you must teach a minimum of 18 days.

Casual

Less than 18 working days grant you a ‘’CASUAL’’ status, which does not qualify you to earn an employee pass during days off.

Service offer calendar

To obtain a ‘’part-time’’ status and enjoy all the benefits: a total of 18 DAYS should be checked between December 22th, 2018 and March 10th, 2019.

Add or remove dates as needed by checking the days that apply to the calendar.
