Description

Les Sommets is looking for a groomer. The role of a groomer in a ski resort involves operating a snow groomer to prepare and maintain the slopes. This work is essential in order to provide snow sports enthusiasts with optimal skiing conditions.

Responsibilities

Drives and operates a snow groomer
Prepares slopes before the resort opens by leveling snow, removing obstacles, filling in hollows and creating smooth descents
Performs routine checks and maintenance on groomers to ensure proper operation
Completes a report on the work performed and the condition of the machines

Qualifications

Possess a valid driver's license for more than 2 years
Experience as a heavy equipment operator (an advantage)

Skills requirements

Strong driving skills
Basic knowledge of mechanics
Thorough understanding of weather and snow conditions
