To become a certified ski patrol for the 2024-2025 season, you must ...
- Be at least 16 years old to take the training and be 18 years old to patrol;
- Participate in the information session scheduled on October 5, 2024 at versant Avila;
- Complete an initial 56-hour training* course over 3 weekends (Saturday AND Sunday) in October 2024 (provided by the Institut national de secourisme du Québec):
- October 5-6, 2024 at versant Avila
- October 19-20, 2024 at versant Avila
- October 26-27, 2024 at versant Avila
*Note that the costs associated with this training will be fully reimbursed to the ski patrol in the event of a return the following season (conditions apply).
- Pass the theoretical and practical tests;
- Have an intermediate-advanced level of skiing / snowboarding (on-snow evaluation).
To apply to the patrol team of one or the other of our summits for the 2024-2025 winter season, you must complete the following two steps as of September 2024:

1. Complete the subscription form on the website of INSQ. In the "Your message" section, please indicate your preference for one of the Sommets stations. You will be contacted by the INSQ subsequently to receive more information on the ski patrol training and simultaneously with this process:

2. Apply online through the website to participate in les Sommets hiring process. It is also possible to apply directly to the Human Resources department located on the Versant Avila.
IMPORTANT | Successful completion of your National First Aid Institute training and exams does not necessarily guarantee a place in les Sommets Ski Patrol. Candidates will participate in the interview process during the first weekend of training.
