VISITOR'S GUIDE AND SANITARY MEASURES LES SOMMETS

Please consult the visitor's guide before coming to les Sommets to be informed of the new measures put in place and to enjoy the best white Zone winter season experience.

Sommet Edelweiss is currently in the red zone.

BEFORE YOUR VISIT

  • If you have flu like symptoms, gastroenteritis or anything similar to COVID ‑ 19, do not present yourself to any of les Sommets activities or services and please call 1 877 644-4545.
  • Do not show up to one of the mountains of les Sommets if you have traveled outside the country in the last 14 days.

Interregional travel is not recommended, in accordance with the recommendations issued by the Public Health. The accountability of each with regard to instructions is requested and will be presumed.

Online purchase procedure to be followed

  • In order to guarantee your place, it is highly recommanded to buy your access tickets in advance on our online store. Otherwise, you may be denied access to the slopes if the maximum capacity is reached.
  • Please print or download on your telephone your tickets with a barcode and/or QR code via the link received in the purchase confirmation email.

Face-coverings mandatory

  • In the chairlifts and the chairlifts waiting lines for people 3 years old and +.
  • In all indoor spaces for people 10 years old and +.

Regional alert level to consider

In view of the new preventive measures by region, we ask you to check what color code your home address is in, and we ask you to comply with the rules issued by the government according to your color code before coming to one of les Sommets mountain.

A customer coming from a red zone cannot use a service that is not allowed in his zone (ex: restaurant, Snow School, equipment rental).

RED ZONE
Interregional travel is not recommended, in accordance with recommendations issued by Public Health. The accountability of each with regard to instructions is requested and will be presumed.

Also in the red zone, access to the chairlifts will be authorized to:

- people from the same household
or
- 2 people maximum not part of the same household

Les Sommets

Reservations in advance mandatory

A reservation will be mandatory in advance for the following services:

  • To have a table in one of our Resto-bar, otherwise access may be refused (reservation online).  
  • Equipment rental (reservation online).  
  • Private ski/snowboard lessons (réservation by phone).
  • Please note that in the red zone, the Resto-bar, and the Snow School will be closed.

WHAT TO BRING

Access to the pavilions will be restricted, so be prepared! Bring with you the necessary items to be the most autonomous possible:

  • Face covering is mandatory in the chairlifts and the chairlifts waiting lines for people 3 years old and + and in all indoor spaces for people 10 years old and +.
  • Be prepared with 1 or 2 face coverings per person as well as a neck warmer or other warm item that covers the nose and mouth.
  • Hand sanitizer.
  • Weather appropriate clothes to deal with all weather conditions and a change of clothes to always stay dry.
  • Water, snacks, a hot thermos, a full lunch etc…(in relation to the regional alerts, some services might be closed).
  • Plan to pay by card to limit contacts when shopping on site.
  • Also have your proof of purchase with you.

THE BIG DAY

At the slightest sign of symptoms of COVID-19 (fever, cough, difficulty breathing) for you or a member of your immediate entourage you must stay at home, you cannot go to les Sommets.

Stay tuned for what's open and closed:

  • The activities and services open or closed evolves rapidly and differs from day to day. Consult our website and/or our Facebook page before coming.
  • Avoid rush hour on the slopes.
  • Arrive a little earlier.

Note that in the red zone no service will be open except for the boutique.

The 3 golden rules in place for the whole season:

  • Respect a distance of 2 meters at all times with other visitors as well as with employees indoors as well as outdoors.
  • Face covering* is mandatory on the chairlifts and the chairlifts waiting lines for people 3 years old and + as well as in all indoor spaces for people 10 years old and +.
  • Frequent hand washing.

And follow the visitor's signs direction indications as well as the instructions of the Public Health in connection with the gatherings.

* This could be a neck warmer, balaclava, or other tight-fitting clothing covering the nose and mouth. This garment should be made of at least 2 layers of close knit fabric and be large enough to completely cover the nose and mouth.

CLARIFICATION ON SERVICES OFFERED AND OPERATION

Parking

Arrive ready to ski:

  • Be dressed for the weather and put your ski boots on in your vehicle. Be ready to hit the slopes from the parking lot.
  • No personal items will be permitted in the pavilions (bags, lunches etc…) Please keep your personal items in your car.
  • Make sure to bring with you your face coverings as they are mandatory in the chailifts and the chairlifts waiting lines for people 3 years old and + and in all all indoor spaces for people 10 years old and +.

Ticket Booth

Go alone to the points of sale (Ticket Booth and food services). The people accompanying you must wait outside the points of sale.

Please print or download your tickets to your telephone. You can use the outdoor Ticket Booth or a GO PASSE ticket dispenser to check in.

Only payments by card at all points of sale will be accepted (debit and credit).

Access to the pavilions

Access to the pavilions will be restricted this season.

Note that in the red zone, no services will be open except for the Boutique.

You wiill have access for the following reasons:

  • To warm up for a few minutes.
  • Sit down to eat.
  • Have access to the cafeteria service.

This in a reasonable time in order to give the possibility of access to all.

Please note that in the red zone, only outdoor take-out restaurant service areas will be accessible.

  • The layout inside the pavilions has been redesigned to comply with distancing standards.
  • You will have access at all times to the washrooms, boutique and sales point counter.
  • To have access to the Resto-bar, you must reserve online ahead of time.
  • The disinfection of the premises is carried out several times a day and is adjusted according to the traffic.

Obligations in the pavilions

  • Sanitizing your hands when entering and when exiting the building.
  • Wearing a face covering* for everyone aged 10 years old and +.
  • Respect the 2-meter physical distance required.
  • Follow the circulation signs in place.

*Be sure to have a second face covering for when you enter the pavilions.

In the red zone no services will be open except for the Boutique, Equipment rental and Repair Shop.

 

Chairlifts

Obligations

  • Respect the 2-meter distancing while in the waiting lines.
  • Wearing a face covering* in the chairlifts and the chairlifts waiting lines for people 3 years old and +.

* This could be a neck warmer, balaclava, or other tight-fitting clothing covering the nose and mouth. This garment should be made of at least 2 layers of close knit fabric and be large enough to completely cover the nose and mouth.

Boarding:

Members of the same household will be prioritized to board the same chair. In this case, there is no limit to the number of people on the same chair.

In the red zone, access to the chairlifts will be authorized to:

- people from the same household
or
- 2 people maximum not part of the same household

 

Washrooms

  • The pavilions will be accessible at all times for access to the washrooms by following the instructions relating to the use of these.
  • Heated portable outdoor toilets have been installed.

Food Services

  • In order to have access to the Resto-bar, you must reserve your table in advance online.
  • Outdoor food services will be open for your convenience.
  • You will be able to eat in the pavilions depending on the space available. There will be an area for lunch boxes and another for consuming food purchased from the cafeteria.
  • You cannot leave any personal items inside the pavilions, including at the Resto-bar. Please leave all your belongings in your car.
  • Several health standards have been put in place.

In the red zone, no indoor restaurant service will be open. Only outdoor take-out restaurant service areas will be available.

Rentals

  • Reservation mandatory
  • Limited access to allow a distance of 2 meters.
  • The equipment is disinfected after each use.
  • The premises are disinfected several times a day.
  • Signage has been added to identify the rental space more precisely and to indicate the pickup and drop-off areas.
  • In the red zone, daily Equipment Rental will be open.

Obligations in the rental areas:

  • Sanitizing your hands when entering and when exiting the pavilion.
  • Wearing a face covering for everyone aged 10 years old and +*.
  • Respect the 2-meter physical distance required. 
  • Follow the circulation signs in place.

*Be sure to have a second face covering for when you enter the pavilions.

Snow School

For all types of lessons (private, semi-private, group or weekend program):

  • A Reservation is required to receive a ski/snowboard Lesson by phone.
  • An outside meeting point is clearly indicated at your arrival, please go there for your lesson.
  • When making your reservation, you received information concerning COVID-19, please comply with it.
  • Know that at all times, we promote the formation of small, stable groups for lessons.

In the red zone, the Snow School will be closed.

Note that a customer living in a red zone can ski in a yellow or orange zone. However, their child will not be able to participate to their lesson and they will not be able to use the services offered on site.

 Obligation

  • Wearing a neck warmer face cover for all skiers aged 3 years old and +.

Daily lockers

  • Daily lockers are available to rent only by those who have rented a ski or snowboard equipment for the day.

Obligations:

  • Sanitizing your hands when entering and when exiting the pavilions.
  • Wearing a face covering for everyone aged 10 years old and +*.
  • Respect the 2-meter physical distance required.
  • Follow the circulation signs in place.

Visitor's guide for the Boutique

Before your visit:

  • If you have flu like symptoms, gastroenteritis or anything similar to COVID ‑ 19, do not present yourself at the Sommet Saint-Sauveur FUN Parc and please call 1 877 644-4545 (toll free);
  • Do not show up at the Sommet Saint-Sauveur fun park if you have traveled outside the country in the past 14 days. Plan your visit by visiting our website; sommets.com
  • Check the boutique’s schedule to avoid unnecessary trips: sommets.com;
  • We strongly suggest payment by card at the Sommet Saint-Sauveur boutique;
  • Plan to have an adequate supply of alcohol based hand soap and /or sanitizing gel for your family and loved ones for the day;
  • IMPORTANT Bring your own mask because it will be mandatory in all public indoor venues

Finally, we strongly recommend that all of our visitors consult the Instructions To Ensure Safe Vacations In Quebec (COVID-19).

Upon your arrival, civility, patience and courtesy are essential:

  • Respect the standards in place on the site, and comply with the directives, in particular with regard to sanitary measures;
  • Wait at the designated area for an employee to take care of you;
  • Respect the social distance rule of 2 meters, which is compulsory between each person;
  • Wearing a face cover is strongly suggested on the site and inside the boutique;
  • Hand washing is mandatory;
  • Cough in your elbow;
  • Throw your tissues in the trash
  • Avoid handshakes;
  • Disinfect your hands using the alcohol based gels or the sinks made available to you;
  • Respect the fitting room instructions of the boutique
  • If you have to pay on site, choose a card payment method
