Sommet Morin Heights Camping & Cabins management reserves the right to change rules and regulations at any time.

Peaceful camping

Because respect for our campers is of utmost importance to us, the following rules are intended to ensure the safety and well-being of campers and visitors. Thank you for respecting others and the site.

Cancellation Policy

  • The total amount of the stay is payable at the time of reservation.

  • No refund for late arrivals or early departures.

  • For any cancellation more than 8 days before the arrival date, you will get a full refund minus an administration fee of 40$ + taxes.

  • For any cancellation less than 8 days before the arrival date, you will get a 50% refund.

  • For any cancellation 24 hours before your arrival date, there will be no refund.

Mandatory quiet period

  • Although radios are permitted, music levels should be kept at a minimum volume between 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 p.m.
  • Mandatory “Quiet Hours” are from 10:30 p.m. to 9:00 a.m. During this period, motorized vehicles ar not permitted to be driven through the campgrounds and campers should keep noise levels to a minimum (no singing, music, etc.). No camping equipment should be installed between 10:30 p.m. and 9:00 a.m.

Campfires

  • Campfires are permitted in specific areas only
  • Campfires after 10:30 p.m. should be kept small and supervised at all times.
  • Campfires should be extinguished before campers retire for the night.
  • The groundskeeper can ask that a fire be extinguished at any time.
  • It is forbidden to move the firepits, burn anything but firewood, light a fire when an interdiction has been imposed by the campground management and use fireworks or firecrackers.

Environmental respect

  • Cutting down, removing or damaging trees, collecting dead wood or uprooting shrubs is strictly prohibited. (minimum penalty of $200)
  • All garbage should be deposited in appropriate trash containers. Campsites should be left as clean they were upon your arrival.

Motor vehicles and Parking

  • All campers should park their cars at their campsites. Only one vehicle is allowed per site
  • Speed limit on the campground is 8 km/hr.
  • “ATV” vehicles are prohibited.

Visitors

  • A $15 + taxes charge per car (not per visitor) will apply.
  • All visitors must leave the campground before 10:30 p.m. or an overnight fee of $7 will apply.

Picnic Tables

  • It is forbidden to move picnic tables from one campsite to another
  • Campers will be charged for damaged picnic tables, a fee of up to $75 may be imposed.

Responsability

  • Management is not responsible for damage, injury or loss caused by accident, fire, theft or vandalism.
  • Campers are totally responsible for any kind of deterioration caused to the property by them or their guests.

Camping

  • Only a tent and a mosquito tent are allowed per site.
  • Six people per site.
  • No one is permitted to move from one campsite to another without authorization from the management
  • Pets are allowed on the campsite. They can be walked on the site, provided that they are kept on a leash. However, they can not walk freely within the camping.
    Pet owners must absolutely pick up their excrement.
  • Arrivals times are at 2:00 pm and departures are at 1:00 pm. In season, all campers must arrive before 10 p.m. Off-season, all campers must arrive before 9 p.m.
  • It is possible to make a late departure (4PM). You will need to make arrangements with management, on the day of departure, and provided the campsite has not already been reserved. A $15 fee will apply.
  • If prior arrangements have not been made with management, a full nights’ fee can be imposed if the campsite has not been vacated at the prescribed time.

Cabins

  • It is forbidden to smoke in the cabins.
  • 4 people per site.
  • Pets ARE NOT ALLOWED in the cabins.
  • Arrival times are at 4:00 pm and departures times are at 11:00 am
  • It is possible to make a late departure (4PM). You will need to make arrangements with management, on the day of departure, and provided the campsite has not already been reserved. A $30 fee will apply.
  • If prior arrangements have not been made with management, a full nights’ fee can be imposed if the cabin has not been vacated at the prescribed time.

Cleaning

  • The customer is expected to clean the cabin and its equipment prior to departure.
  • A $45 fee will apply if the cabin is not found in the same state it was upon arrival.
  • All campers must respect the rules. The management reserves the right to evict anyone with undesirable behaviour and any entrance fee will not be reimbursed in this case.
