Employment procedure

To join the EDELWEISS patrol for the 2017-2018 season, you must:

1. Follow the training of the Canadian ski patrol.

2. Apply as a ski patroller via the web form below.

* It is suggested to apply on this site in September 2017 before having obtained your certification. Your hiring will be conditional on the success of your training.

To become a certified ski patroller for the 2017-2018 season, you must ...

- Have a minimum of 16 years to complete the training, 18 years to patrol
- Successfully complete training (Canadian Ski Patrol)
- Pass the theoretical and practical tests;
- Have a level of intermediate-advanced skiing / snowboarding. (Evaluation required)

Ski patrol status

There are two statuses available within the patrol. It is important to note that the number of hires varies each season depending on the needs of each station:

1. Volunteer Patroller
Patrol only on Saturday-Sunday. Must be present a minimum number of days to be eligible.

2. Paid patroller (full or part time)
Contingent posting, depending on the annual requirements. Patrol on a pre-set schedule, possibly weekdays or weekends
