Running late?

If you are late for reasons beyond your control, a supervisor will guide your child to his/her group. If the delay is more than 10 minutes after the start of the lesson, it will be your responsibility to find your child's group.

Weather conditions

The Snow School reserves the right to cancel a group lesson depending on the weather conditions. Winter temperatures in Quebec vary from year to year and let's be honest, we live in a northern country. Cold weather will not be a factor in the cancellation of a course. The decision will be made in the morning and posted on the website at 7 am. It is therefore ESSENTIAL to visit the resort's website to know the status of the course. If a group class is cancelled, it will be rescheduled on the Day off already planned.

Parents-chaperones

We would like to offer parents of children in lessons the opportunity to use the line reserved for the Snow Schools. To have access to this line, the parent will have to help one or two children who require assistance when boarding the lift, during their lesson. Only accompanying parents can use this line.

For lifts without a reserved line, we also invite parents to offer their help to the instructors to assist the children in boarding the lift.

Your help is appreciated. Please come to the Snow Schools reserved line or to an instructor to indicate your interest.

Enjoy Winter Carnival!

Rio isn’t the only place that boasts a beautiful, colourful Carnival! Your ski school will also don its Carnival colours during the last week of lessons. Activities include friendly competitions, medal and certificate ceremonies, and a super hotdog lunch with the instructors, all while wearing costumes, of course!

  • Sommet Saint-Sauveur, Sommet Morin Heights, Sommet Olympia, and Sommet Gabriel: March 18-19, 2023
  • versant Avila and Sommet Edelweiss Carnival: March 4-5, 2023

Is My Child Improving?

Our philosophy is to have fun while learning in a safe environment. Our primary objective is for each child to improve and reach his or her full potential. Our certified and attentive instructors’ teaching allows your child to develop his or her skills at an appropriate pace throughout his or her ski or snowboarding lessons.

The way progress is evaluated varies. It is therefore not abnormal for your child to stay at the same level for two years in a row so that he or she makes progress at his or her own pace. In order to support your child’s development and ensure the consistency and quality of the lessons, the director and the instructors are here and available throughout the programs, which vary in length from 8 to 10 weeks. You can meet with them and discuss your concerns upon request.
