Implementation of a "Day Off" for Les Sommets Snow School Programs

The current health context brings its share of challenges in our lives and the family organization. However, we are also aware that many factors can influence your presence at one of your ski or snow lessons, whether you are sick, have a birthday, an important appointment, road conditions, weather or simply because you want to rest.

In this context, les Sommets is announcing today the implementation of a "Day off" for the 2021-2022 season. This means that we will add an extra day, free of charge, to your current Snow School program.

8-week programs will now have 9 weeks of lessons. 10-week programs will have 11 weeks. The extra day will be added at the end of the current schedule.

This additional day, offered as a bonus, will allow families and clients to benefit from an extra class at no cost. It also means that regular students who have not missed a day all season will get 11 courses for the price of 10. Implementing this "Day Off" also means that no ski lessons will be cancelled this winter. Classes will be held according to the current schedule.

New 2021-2022 schedule including the "Day off":

  • 8-week program: January 15 or 16 to March 12 or 13, 2022
  • 10-week program: January 15 or 16 to March 26 or 27, 2022

We hope that this new measure will provide the necessary flexibility to families and students enrolled in our programs. We are also proud to be the very first Snow School in Quebec to innovate with this concept and wish to thank our clients for their loyalty since the very beginning of this pandemic.

Important details on the 2021-2022 season

COVID-19 update and health measures

Following the government's announcement of December 30th, 2021, we are obliged to make specific operational changes to our stations.

As of January 2nd, 2022, and for all our resorts offering evening skiing, the closing time will be 9 pm due to the curfew and this until further notice.

Our cafeterias continue to operate with a wide selection of take-out food. Customers can pick up a hot or cold meal in one of our cafeterias and eat outside or in their vehicle.

The resto-bars will also be closed until further notice.

Chalets will be accessible to you, at reduced capacity, to warm up or go to the bathroom. The maximum time inside the chalets will be 20 minutes. It will be forbidden to eat inside the cottages, whether a meal or a snack.

The boutiques will be open from Monday to Saturday, therefore closed on Sundays until further notice. As a result, the capacity inside will be reduced. However, emergency items will be available through our rental services.

The lift used by guests of the same household (family bubble) is preferred. Masks and distancing are strongly recommended in the waiting lines and on the chairlifts.

Other services

At this time, all services such as access to lockers, rentals, workshops and lessons are maintained.

Due to various sanitary measures and staffing shortages, it is also possible that some of our services will be closed during your visit. In addition, the capacity of the chalets/lodges is also limited. Therefore, we strongly recommend our clients to have a plan B.

We want to thank our clients in advance for their usual cooperation in respecting these measures and thus allowing us to continue our ski season in complete safety.

Mandatory vaccine passport for snow sports

The Quebec Ski Areas Association (ASSQ) and the 75 affiliated ski areas have obtained confirmation from the Quebec government that the vaccine passport will be required for those 13 years of age and older to use the ski lifts and to access certain services offered in the ski chalets. As a result, les Sommets had to inactivate all the 2021-2022 season passes.

Vaccine passport procedure

A vaccine passport validation procedure for all members aged 13 and over is in place in all our mountains. This validation process, which is necessary to activate your 21-22 season pass, will have to be done only once this season.

Northeast Options

Sommet Saint-Sauveur and Bromont, Montagne d'expériences, wish to inform you, by mutual agreement, that the Northeast options will not be renewed for the 2021-2022 season in both resorts.

In the context of limited capacity management, these options were very challenging for both organizations. However, knowing that a loyal clientele appreciated these options, we are working to develop an alternative offer.
